CASC Preparation Weekends

If so, then the Oxford Psych Course CASC Preparation weekends may be for you.
The Oxford Psych Course CASC Preparation weekends are facilitated by psychiatrists and actors with a vast experience of helping candidates prepare for their CASC exams, and include both Royal College examiners and Sheffield CASC actors. Throughout the weekend, using scenarios from recent CASC exams, you will learn:
- to apply the generic skills of history taking, assessment, examination and explanation, in the specific format required by the College CASC exam.
- about common errors in CASC, and how to avoid them.
- strategies to tackle a station in a strict time limit, focusing on what is specifically required, whilst maintaining fluidity, empathy and control.
- what to do if the un-expected happens, so you will not lose focus, but can complete the task with confidence.
The Oxford Psych Course CASC Preparation weekends have a track record of improving candidates' chances of passing the Royal College CASC exam. In the March 2010 CASC, 2.4 out of 3 candidates who passed, had attended an Oxford Psych Course CASC preparation weekend.
Places on each course are limited to 32, and are offered on a first come, first served basis.
